Should cities charge cars to enter their most crowded areas?

London and Singapore charge drivers to enter their busiest zones. Could Bengaluru, Mumbai or Delhi do the same?

The case for

  • Fewer cars mean faster commutes and cleaner air.

  • The money can fund better buses and metro lines.

The case against

  • It is unfair to people without good public transport.

  • It adds costs for small traders and delivery workers.
